Firstly, some quick advice on fridges and freezers – fridges operate by adjusting the fridge/freezer temperature to the ambient temperature outside the fridge/freezer. It does this by reducing or increasing the temperature and adjusting to its surrounding environment. Without this ability to adjust, too much outside heat will put extra pressure on the fridge/freezer to stay cool and at the required temperature. During very cold or freezing weather conditions, fridges could possibly close down or pause cooling as they can be fooled into thinking they have reached the correct temperature. Installing a data logger will allow you to make the necessary adjustments.
